Student Government speeches and elections will be held on Monday, October 1st! We are so proud of everyone running for Student Government! Speeches will be given during first period and elections will take place during third period. We hope to have an official Student Government by the end of the day! These are a few posters of some of the students running. We have a total of 20 students that have decided to give Student Government a try. We have a total of fourteen positions in Student Government! Good Luck to all of our candidates!
This summer through the money we made at basketball games and a couple of very generous donations we were able to purchase two brand new basketball hoops for the gym.
These new hoops are the “real deal” with glass backboards and a padded base that says “wildcats.” We are very excited about these two new additions to our gym! Our basketball players as well as students in gym class are sure to get great use of them!
Smart Cards are here! We are once again selling Smart Cards as a PTP fundraiser. Smart cards are discount cards that can be used at participating businesses including restaurants and services. Some of the discounts are one-time but most discounts can be reused until the card expires in August of 2013.
Smart cards are available for a variety of counties/areas including:
Sumner County, Davidson County, Wilson County, Williamson County, Robertson County, Montgomery County, Cheatham County, Bowling Green, KY, Franklin County KY, and many more.
To see the discounts available for each county, please go to www.smartsavingslink.com. Click on the “Purchase A Smart Card” link to see all of the cards available and the discounts available. Do not purchase them through the site. The cards sell for $15 and will be available through the school.
We would like to encourage every family to participate in this fundraiser. If you would like to help sell these cards to benefit the school, a packet of cards and materials will be available for you to pick up at Registration on Wednesday, August 8th. This year there will be prizes awarded for cards sold. You can even get your Smart Card for free.
If you have any questions, please contact Mary Garretson at 838-8016 or Mary Vaughn at 533-6111.
