Rose Freeman I am a wife, mother, sister, daughter, teacher, and friend, but most importantly I am a Child of God. My husband Jim and I have 3 wonderful children: Natasha - the mother of our first grandchild, Jimmy - a United States Marine, and Hannah - our youngest who is now a teenager and attending St. John Vianney Catholic School. In October 2006, we celebrated the arrival of our first grandchild, Ana Victoria, who fills our lives with joy. Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, I have worked my entire adult life with adolescents. I love working with middle school students! In addition to many years as a teacher in Catholic Schools, I also have had 5 years of experience working with adolescents as a full-time Coordinator of Youth Ministry. I compare being a teacher in middle school to the joy of parents watching their young children make new discoveries like saying the first word or taking the first step. As a teacher I am blessed with the opportunity to witness the new discoveries of my students as they discover how they learn or apply prior knowledge to a new situation. Ultimately, the greatest gift and challenge of being a teacher is to help my students to know and serve the Lord. Mrs.
Carla Wehby Mrs. Carla Wehby graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor's of Fine Art degree with an emphasis in graphic design. Carla worked as a graphic designer for nine years. She has a genuine love and talent in all aspects of fine art. Mrs. Wehby is excited to develop a structured art program incorporating the production of art, art history and art criticism. She has three children enrolled at Saint John Vianney. Mr. Mr. John Bumgardner Mr. Bumgardner was born and raised in North Carolina. He received his music degree from East Carolina University, and soon after moved to Nashville, TN to pursue a performing and songwriting career. He has performed guitar and banjo throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. Mr. Bumgardner was awarded the highest honor by the state of Kentucky by then Governor Brereton C. Jones as a Kentucky Colonel in 1995, to honor his charitable work for children. In 2006 he was named Wal-Mart Teacher of The Year. He has three children, a boy, Tyler, and two girls, Reagan and Makenzy. He recorded an instrumental bluegrass CD in 2004 and is currently working on a new project. One of his greatest enjoyments is watching his students grow musically and spiritually. My hope is that my students are inspired by me as much as they inspire me. Señora Beatriz López-Linville Having been born and raised in the Canary Islands, Spain, where she attended both the Daughters of Charity School and Saint Ignatius of Loyola High School, Mrs. Beatriz López then moved to Madrid where she received a Master’s Degree in English and Spanish languages and Translation. After living and working in Madrid for the next 8 years, Mrs. López arrived in the United States in 2002 as part of an exchange program between the U.S. Department of Education and the Spanish Ministry of Education to teach Spanish in the State of Tennessee at the high school level. She taught at Trousdale County High School until the arrival of her first son in January 2006. In August 2006, she felt very fortunate to join the faculty at Saint John Vianney Catholic School. She currently teaches Spanish to all grades. She will also be teaching Library Skills to the Elementary School. She and her husband, Mr. Linville, have two young sons. Their oldest will be attending Pre-Kindergarten at Saint John Vianney this year. She feels blessed to teach at SJV and to be part of its great faculty and is looking forward to a great year! Mrs. Cindy Brown Mrs. Brown graduated from Red Bank High School in her hometown of Chattanooga, TN, and then from Cumberland University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, and a license to teach grades 1 through 8. Cindy taught in the public school system for three years until the birth of her first son Collins, who will be new to SJV this year in 6th grade. Her two younger sons are Connor and Carter.
