ING Kids Rock Marathon – April 2012
Our Cross Country Coaches are looking for runners interested in completing the ING Kids Rock Marathon next April. We have had SJV runners do this in previous years – it is a great way to stay active and have fun!
The tentative date for the final mile of each student’s marathon is April 27, 2012. Prior to that, students log their running, mile by mile, up to 25 miles, and finish their 26-mile marathon in Nashville.
Please contact the office if your child is interested in running with the SJV team. We will pass your name along to Mr. & Mrs. Gardner and they will contact you with more information. Go Wildcats!
8th Grade Visit to JPII

Our 7th and 8th grade girls will visit St. Cecilia next month, and the 8th graders will visit Father Ryan in November.
Diocesan Chess League
A Diocesan Chess League for students in grades 5-8 has been proposed. Five diocesan competitions have been suggested, starting in October, at JPII and other diocesan schools. To participate, SJV would preferably need 10 interested students (2 teams of 5), plus alternate players.
If your child would be interested in joining an SJV Chess Team, or if you are a parent who would be interested in coaching this team, please email Mrs. McCormick.
