–Jules Renard

Students in 5th and 6th  grade will be working on five-paragraph essays as well as reading comprehension essays.  I will be grading the five-paragraph essays for form and mechanics, and I will be grading the reading comprehension essays on comprehension.  Students in 7th and 8th grade will be working on research papers.  They are in the research stage and should be working on notecards (with MLA documentation) and paraphrasing source information.

T-Rac meets the 7th Grade

Illuminated Initials

Illumination is the decorating of pages with ornate lettering, luminous color and precious metals.  The seventh grade will make their own illumination.  The practice of illumination came into style during the middle ages when artists and bookmakers worked together to create beautiful manuscripts.
