P.E. Personal Fitness Evaluation

Next week (Sept. 27) in P.E., we will begin a “Personal Fitness Evaluation.”  Each student will have their own chart, and I will record their times, distances and amounts.  We will have the evaluation on the last week of each month.  This will not be a competition.  I want the students to strive to do better for themselves.  The students should see improvement as they become stronger.

What was it like to be a scribe?

In the sixth grade we discovered what it was like to be a scribe by writing our own Cuneiform stories on clay tablets. We discovered that being a scribe is not as easy as it sounds! There are many symbols to learn. It is also much harder to carve into clay than to write on a piece of paper!

Spanish Project Due Date Change

The due date for the Spanish project for 6th and 7th grades has been extended to Tuesday, 9/20.  Due to the 9/11 tribute on Monday, these classes did not get three days in the computer lab to work on these projects.  They will have Spanish classtime to work in the computer lab on Monday, 9/19, and the projects will be due on 9/20.
