Social Studies Essay
The fifth graders have been given a social studies essay that is due next Tuesday. They recieved a handout detailing the assignment today. The information about this essay is in each student’s binder.

Religion Update
We are currently finishing up chapter 11, “In the Fullness of Time.” Our test will be this Thursday, January 12, 2012. The next chapter will be called, “Born in the City of David.”

Thank you to all the families who have donated empty plastic gallon jugs. We are nearly one quarter of the way to our 400+ goal. Check out the picture to the left to see what we are going to do with all those milk jugs!
Science Update
We are currently studying matter and its properties. We have begun looking at physical properties of matter and will soon be moving onto chemical properties. Thanks to all who donated apples-we used physical properties to sort and identify apples. Tentative test date: January 24, 2012
