ING Kids Rock Marathon – April 2012

Our Cross Country Coaches are looking for runners interested in completing the ING Kids Rock Marathon next April.  We have had SJV runners do this in previous years – it is a great way to stay active and have fun!

The tentative date for the final mile of each student’s marathon is April 27, 2012.  Prior to that, students log their running, mile by mile, up to 25 miles, and finish their 26-mile marathon in Nashville.

Please contact the office if your child is interested in running with the SJV team.    We will pass your name along to Mr. & Mrs. Gardner and they will contact you with more information.  Go Wildcats!

Baptism Celebrations

Team Third Grade celebrates baptism anniversaries. The students learn what happened when they were baptized. They renew their baptismal promises, sing “This Little Light of Mine” while leading a procession, and place a flame on their baptismal candle in the classroom. The students get a special treat from Mrs. Wise and get the privilege of being helper for the day.

Non-fiction tests require critical thinking. Please help your child study by reading and discussing the chapter.
