 Why SJV?

“After spending two years of my life teaching English as a Second Language in Micronesia, I wanted to return to America and share my experiences and my strengthened faith in God with others. I saw Saint John Vianney as the greatest place to achieve this goal, and I hope to strengthen the faith of our youth for the betterment of themselves, our future, and the Kingdom of God.” – Toney Horton

Mr. Horton is a Graduate of Welch College, where he earned a degree in both English and Biblical Studies. After college, he joined the Peace Corps and served two years in Pohnpei Micronesia. After his year in public school, he joined Pohnpei Catholic School where he taught 7th grade English, 7th and 8th grade P.E., and established a youth church choir still performing to this day. He returned to The States in June of 2017 and moved to Gallatin in July. In his spare time, he enjoys kayaking, hiking, golfing, and live music.
