News for the week of April 9 – April 15, 2014

Letter from the Principal

Dear SJV Families:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported our inaugural 5K this past Saturday.  I love that this event encouraged our families to get active together!  It was so much fun seeing people encourage each other to do their very best.  I hope that this event is one that continues for years to come!

I would also like to publicly thank our teachers and staff for their willingness to organize two new fundraisers this year – the golf tournament and 5K – because they simply wanted to be able to provide more opportunities for our students.  Because of these fundraisers, we have been able to order the third and final phase of our technology upgrade – classroom computers – which should be delivered any day now.  I am grateful for the dedication of our faculty and staff, both in and outside of the classroom.

Our next CIA meeting is this coming Monday, April 14.  It is the second to last meeting of the school year, and planning for the 2014-2015 year will be discussed.  I hope that many of you will be able to come and share your thoughts about next year’s events.

Have a blessed week!  Thank you for all you do to support the mission of SJV!
