News for the week of March 5 – March 11, 2014

Letter from the Principal

Dear SJV Families:

With only 6 days left in Third Quarter, spring is bound to be here soon!  It will certainly be a busy time with spring sports, our school play, sacraments, class trips, and graduation right around the corner!

Before those events arrive, we still have several things on the radar:

*Barnes & Noble Book Fair:  Stop by and shop in store through March 9, or online through March 16.  Please share the voucher and/or number with friends and family.  The online option makes it possible for anyone to support SJV, regardless of where they live.

*SJV Wildcat 5K:  Our inaugural 5K is one month from today!  We are currently looking for runners and walkers to participate.  We hope to see lots of Wildcat families at this event, but if you are unable to participate, please pass the word along to anyone who you think might be interested.  If you know of someplace we can post flyers, please let us know.

*Open Enrollment Underway:  We are still registering students for the 2014-2015 school year.  If you have friends who are grumbling about the number of snow days in Sumner County, you could always send them our way!  We’d love to welcome them to our SJV family!

Thanks for all your support of SJV!

Have a blessed week!

Jennifer McCormick

SPRING PICTURE DAY IS MARCH 12TH!   Our annual spring picture day in next Wednesday – 3/12.  Any student wishing to have their picture taken may wear their Easter Best to school that day (no jeans, athletic suits, etc. allowed) to be photographed.  No money is due now – simply complete the picture sign-up sheet in your child’s Wednesday folder and return to his/her homeroom teacher.  These forms will be given to the photographer on picture day.  A proof/picture package will be sent to the school in a few weeks to send home for your approval.  You can either purchase then, or return it to the school……it’s just that simple!  If you have any questions about picture day, please feel free to contact the school office at 230-7048.
