This Week in Middle School Math

/24-2/28

In fifth grade we will begin to interpret and represent data in a variety of ways. We will discuss measures of central tendency, interpreting graphs, and making graphs and tables. This unit will culminate in a graph project that will be worked on (in class) during ITBS testing.

In sixth grade we will finish discussing patterns and equations and have a small quiz. Then we will discuss measures of central tendency, interpreting graphs, and making graphs and tables. This unit will culminate in a graph project that will be worked on (in class) during ITBS testing.

In seventh grade we will discuss solving equations. We will have a small quiz towards the end of the week. Then we will discuss measures of central tendency, interpreting graphs, and making graphs and tables. This unit will culminate in a graph project that will be worked on (in class) during ITBS testing.

In algebra we continue to discuss quadratic functions. We are starting off the week with a quiz over transformations and then continue to discuss graphing parabolas. We will explore many different ways to solve and graph a quadratic.
