2/5 Out of uniform for students who attended SJV Masses this past weekend
Reading: We started a new unit today called Look Again which is all about animals and camouflage. Our first story is “Animal Camouflage” about a variety of animals and how they use camouflage help them survive. Vocabulary words are camouflage, mimicry, blend, surroundings, pretenders, and patterns. Test is on Friday.
Language Arts: We are learning about pronouns this week. Test is on Friday.
Spelling: Test is on Friday

Religion: We are learning about the miracles of Jesus including the Wedding at Cana, calming of the storm at sea, and loaves and fishes.
Math: On Tuesday, we will have our first 50 subtraction fact test. This test wil be timed for 4 minutes. Fact test on subtracting 5 facts will be on Thursday. This week we are learning how to measure and draw line segments to the nearest half inch, add two-digit numbers with sums greater than 100, and using base ten blocks.
Science: We are continuing to learn about habitats and animal adaptations that allow them to live in their habitats. Habitat project is due this Friday. Remember to complete the Habitat Fact Sheet along with the diorama.
