1/25/14: Chili Cook- off at 5:30 in the gym
1/31/14: Grandparent’s Day – 11:30 dismissal

Please continue reading with your child. When your child reads to you he/she is developing his/her vocabulary and building fluency. These extra practice times along with reading in the classroom will help your child become a strong and confident reader.

Sciences- review characteristics and habitats of fish and amphibians
Animal Habitat Project Due Date: January 30th
Writing- use writing strategies of adding details and rewriting
share friendly letters and respond to others’ writing
The students will recognize Martin Luther King Jr. as a great leader who worked to get equal rights for all people.
The student will understand oneself and others as persons accountable for choices and their consequences.
