Please continue reading with your child. When your child reads to you he/she is developing his/her vocabulary and building fluency. These extra practice times along with reading in the classroom will help your child become a strong and confident reader.
Reading comprehension – read narrative fictional works such as fairy tales, The Gingerbread man, and develop comprehension (predicting outcomes, main ideas, sequencing, locating details) and Readers Theater: Put on a play of The Gingerbread Man story.
Math- collect data and construct appropriate type of graph, review skip counting, drawing tally marks, and building numbers using a ten frame.
Religion- explain basic elements of the liturgical year Christmas.
Social Studies- Quiz over Unit 2
Health- identify the USDA “My Plate” guidelines for healthy eating.
