Please continue reading with your child. When your child reads to you he/she is developing his/her vocabulary and building fluency. These extra practice times along with reading in the classroom will help your child become a strong and confident reader.

Reading- Introduce the schwa-/e/,  /ng/ spelled ng, /nk/ spelled nk, /kw/ spelled qu. Read decodable books The Children Get a Rabbit, Pump and Pedal, Big Bing, In the Tank, Quick Quin and King Frank.

Reading comprehension – read a story with the schwa-/e/,  /ng/ spelled ng, /nk/ spelled nk, /kw/ spelled qu.

Math-Lesson 55- Quiz

            Lesson 55-1-Drawing a line of symmetry, identifying one half of a whole, writing the fraction one half

            Lesson 55-2-Estimating and measuring the capacity of containers using nonstandard units, Comparing and ordering two-digit numbers    

            Lesson 54-Identifying a symmetrical design

            Lesson 56-Identifying odd and even numbers          

Religion- explain basic elements of the liturgical year Advent.

Social Studies- Unit 2: Where we live Lesson 4: Water and Land

Health- identify the USDA “My Plate” guidelines for healthy eating.
