Look What’s Happening In Kindergarten!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday! Get ready for the busiest time of the school year. Please remember to check folders daily for any important information that might be sent home.
For an upcoming Christmas activity, all students will need to bring in a small bottle of cinnamon. Please have this to school by Monday 12/9. Thanks!

Here’s what we will be doing in the classroom this week.
MATH – This weeek we will be matching number cards to sets of objects, comparing sets of objects, weighing objects using nonstandard units, ordering by weight, combing sets and counting on, and identifying and ordering numbers 1-30.
RELIGION – This week we begin discussing Advent and preparing for the birth of Christ.
HANDWRITING – This week we will be practicing the letter Oo, numbers from 1-15, and writing sight words.
SOCIAL STUDIES – We will begin learning about family traditions and holiday celebrations.
READING – This week we will be reviewing previous sight words, decoding 5 new sight words, attaching the /j/ sound to the letter Jj, attaching the /r/ sound to the letter Rr, attaching the /f/ sound to the letter Ff, developing an understanding for new vocabulary words, introducing “My Shadow” unit, reading “What Makes A Shadow” and reading a decodable. We will also review nouns, writing sentences, word spacing and letter spacing.
HEALTH – We will be learning about the human body and how it works.
