Look What’s Happening In Kindergarten
We are saying good bye to a dear friend this week. Tuesday will be Preston’s last day with us. He and his family will begin a new adventure in Knoxville. We wish them the best of luck and will miss Preston a great deal.
Please remember to send in a flower on Thursday with your child to present to Mary at the May Crowning Mass. Also, Friday is an 11:30 dismissal.
Here’s what’s happening in the classroom this week.
MATH – This week we continue with basic addition facts. We will be adding 2 and 3 to a number, playing addition games, reviewing telling time, reviewing patterns, and reviewing counting coins.
RELIGION – This week we will understand who Mary was and why she is important. We will also begin to understand the Rosary.
SCIENCE – This week we will begin to learn about the life cycle of the caterpillar (from last week). Mr. Krampotitch will also be teaching us some basic first aid procedures on Tuesday.
READING – This week we will review previous sight words, decode new sight words, attach the long/e/sound to the letter Ee, learn and practice plurals, develop an understanding of selection vocabulary, classify and predict. Our selection for the week is “Can You See The Wind?”.
HANDWRITING – We will be practicing proper formation of all upper and lower case letters.
