Elementary School Spanish & Music for the Week of March 25

It’s a short week, so unfortunately, not everyone will have both Spanish and Music this week.  Here’s what is planned:

Pre-K:  No Spanish this week.  In Music, we will continue working on using handheld instruments to perform a variety of rhythms and work on our coordination with our new song, “Hello My Name is Joe.”

Kindergarten:  No Spanish this week.  In Music, we will work on performing, following the directions of a conductor, and being a good audience member.

1st Grade:  No Spanish or Music this week.

2nd Grade:  No Spanish or Music this week.

3rd Grade:  In Music, we will discuss binary, ternary, and strophic forms of music, as well as contrast.  In Spanish we will begin a series of lessons on exchanging written information with peers in Spanish.

4th Grade:  In Music, we will discuss voice types, scales, and polyphony.  In Spanish, we will work on writing the date, sharing our birthdays in Spanish, the names of the seasons, and discuss the country of Nicaragua.
