News for the week of January 16 through 22, 2013

Letter from the Principal:

Dear SJV Families,

I hope you are all having a wonderful week!  It’s hard to believe January is half over, and Catholic Schools Week will be here in a little over a week!  Please see this week’s newsletter for a brief overview of activities that have been planned, and make sure that all RSVP’s for Grandparents Day are turned in by this Friday, January 18.

Once Catholic Schools Week is behind us, there will only be three weeks until we begin ITBS/CogAT testing.  All schools in the Diocese of Nashville were required to begin using a new form for both tests, and I learned a lot about the changes at a Diocesan Principal’s meeting yesterday.  This means brand new colorful test booklets, but also new norms to be compared to.  You’ll be hearing more about this in the weeks and months to come!

Don’t forget that this is the time to re-register for the 2013-2014 school year.  You’ll also see tuition, subsidy, and financial aid information in the Wednesday folder this week.  Please pay particular attention to the deadlines, as we don’t want anyone to miss out!

Have a blessed week ahead!

Jennifer McCormick
