Look What We Are Studying in Pre-K……
Monday, October 22nd starts Red Ribbon Week (drug free awareness).
Wednesday, October 24nd, Scholastic book order due!
Wednesday, October 17th, Fire Prevention Assembly @ 9:00.
Pre-K will be attending Mass on Thursday. All parents are welcome to attend Mass with us.
Friday, October 26th, Field trip to Bottom View Farm and Fall Party @ 1:30.
Theme-Monday- The students will investigate ways to keep their body’s healthy, safe and drug free.
Tuesday- The student will be able to identify the hazards of a fire, know what a firefighter job is and practice fire safety.
Wednesday- The student will verbalize their knowledge of how pumpkins grow.
Thursday- The student will identify safe and unsafe ways to ride in cars and identify positive behavior will riding in a car.
Language Arts– The students will be able to make judgments about characters in a story. Demonstrate knowledge of a word. The students will be able to listen with attention, hear specific words in sentences and enjoy listening to a finger play.
Religion– Review: Read Genesis 13:2-12. The student will tell the story of Abraham giving the better parcel of land to Lot. The student will learn like Abraham that we are asked to be kind to others out of faithful obedience to God. God wants us to love each other and be kind to one another.
Writing- The students will identify letters of the alphabet in their names.
Computer Class- The students will continue practicing their mouse skills. Please continue to encourage your child to practice these skills at home.
Math- Students will read and order numerals to 10.
Science– The students will identify the life cycle of a pumpkin
