Look What’s Happening In Kindergarten This Week!
**Volunteer Opportunity – We will be making globes this week! This is a very fun, yet very hands on activity. I need some extra hands to help with this project. Parents are needed Wednesday from 10:30 – 12:00. It may not take the entire hour and a half, but then again, it might! Please let me know if you are interested in helping with this project. Thank you so much!!!!!!***
MATH – This week we will be identifying ordinal positions, covering designs using pattern blocks, identifying triangles and squares and taking oral assessment 3; identifying and ordering numbers from 1-20.
READING/LANGUAGE ARTS – This week we will review previous sight words, decode 5 new sight words, segment syllables in words, learn the importance of letter order in words, attach the /p/ sound to the letter Pp and the /d/ sound to the letter Dd. We will also locate the table contents, locate the title, author and illustrator of a selection, develop an understanding for new vocabulary and use the comprehension strategies clarifying, predicting, visualizing, and comparing and contrasting.
