News for the week of September 19 – 25, 2012

Letter from the Principal:

Dear SJV families,

I am so thankful for all of our families!  It is amazing to see all of you coming to support our many events and activities, such as the Fun Run, Volleyball & Cross Country, and our upcoming school-wide parties.  A huge thank you to all of you who make these great things possible!!

I have seen such great things going on in all of the classrooms!  The students are happy and learning as I observe their lessons, and we have an amazing faculty and staff to love and care for each and every child.  That must be why our faculty and staff rated so high in our recent survey of the top ten things families love about SJV!

One of the submissions was sweetly written in a young child’s handwriting (by a first grader, I suspect):

  1. Pizza
  2. Snack
  3. Recess
  4. Lunch
  5. Art
  6. Math
  7. Spanish
  8. Monkey bars
  9. PE
  10. Mrs. Montgomery

It was so much fun seeing all the wonderful things our families love about SJV!  Thanks for participating – we will be working on the Spirit Shirt and get the details about ordering to you soon.

Have a wonderful week!

Jennifer McCormick

-Just a reminder that the turn in dates we have left for pledges are: 9/20, 9/21, and 9/27.  As an added incentive to get your pledges in on time, students that return their pledges names will be entered in a daily drawing for a gift card to Dunkin Donuts, Chick-fil-A, and Sweet CeCe’s!
