This Week In Kindergarten!!!!
It is so hard to believe that we are heading into the final two weeks of school. The year has flow by too fast. I have had the privledge of watching your children grow and mature, physically, academically, and spiritually. It has truly been an honor! I have enjoyed everyday we have spent together and I feel that they will be very successful in their first grade journey. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be a part of their growth.
Happy Mother’s Day to all of our wonderful mothers! I hope you had a wonderful and relaxing day with your family.
Starting this week we will be taking our end of the year assessments in all subject areas. These assessments are done on an individual basis and will take quite a few days to complete.
MATH – This week we will review key concepts taught this year; patterning, telling time, counting, counting money and adding.
HEALTH – This week we will identify basic body parts and their functions. We will also identify the functions of the basic body system (heart, lungs, brain, and stomach).
READING/LANGUAGE ARTS – We will continue with Charlotte’s Web. We will practice sequencing story events, and identifying the main idea. We will complete many activities revolving around the Charlotte’s Web theme. We will also begin watching the movie of Charlotte’s Web on Friday. We will compare the movie to the book and identify similarities and differences.
