This Week In Kindergarten!
***SAVE THE DATE*** We are planning an end of the year field trip to Honeysuckle Hill Farm on May 1st. Permission slips will be sent home as the date gets closer. I will need drivers for this trip. Please let me know if you would like to be a driver for this trip.
Please remember that each child needs to bring 6 plastic eggs and one egg carton to school by Tuesday April 3rd. We will be making Ressurection Eggs on Wednesday.
MATH – This week we will be making a pictograph, and reviewing previously taught concept in workshops.
RELIGION – This week our focus is on the Passion Story. We will finish the Stations of the Cross and make Ressurection Eggs.
SCIENCE – We will continue with our unit on living things. We will also be planting seeds!
READING – This week we will be reviewing all letters and their sounds, identifying rhyming words, attaching the long /a/ sound to the letter Aa, working with the pronouns he, she, and it, beginning a new unit theme “Ready, Set, Grow”. We will also be reviewing previously taught concepts in workshops. THERE WILL BE A SIGHT WORD ASSESSMENT ON WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. ALL STUDENTS SHOULD BE READY ON WEDNESDAY.
HANDWRITING – This week we will be practicing upper and lower case Vv.
