4th Grade Book Bag News 4/2/12
Reminders: This is the last call for any Gala donations. $20, cash only please. Also, remember to turn in the Frist field trip $2 and permission slip, again cash only please. Lastly, Spring uniform begins this week. Students may wear shorts, a belt and polo shirts with white tennis shoes and white socks.
I hope you all have a blessed Easter!
Here’s what we’re studying this week:
Math: We will be finding the fractional part of a set, identifying rays, vertex and angle types, measuring angles using a protractor, and using probability.
Language Arts: Reading and spelling test Monday 4/2, We will begin the next story in our America On the Move unit, Immigrant Children and review diagramming sentences.Diagramming sentences test Tuesday 4/3, and Spelling test on Thursday, 4/5. The reading test will not be until after Easter.
Social Studies: We will continue learning the location of the states and their capitals. Quiz on the Northern States Thursday, 4/5.
Religion: We will reflect upon the Lenten and Easter Seasons. Thursday will go to Stations of the Cross.
Science: We will finish our unit on the human body. Test on Wednesday, 4/4
Computer: We will use an online game to practice learning the location of the states and their capitals.
Library: Read towards our 2nd base reading goal in the Nashville Sounds reading program. Book report extension!! Now due Tuesday, 4/10.
