Great American Mail Race

Seventh grade students recently received a letter from St. Catherine of Siena School in Phoenix, Arizona asking our school to participate in the “Great American Mail Race”.  The idea is to write to a 7th grade class, in a Catholic school, in each of the 50 states.  The purpose is not only to practice writing letters, but to find out information about students in their grade from each of the states.  Students researched and found schools and have written their first draft of the letters to be mailed.  They will also be working with Ms. Moore to create a map and track where all of the letters being sent out and received.  We are excited about this cross-curriculur activity!
