4th Grade Book Bag News 2/13/12

Reminder – we do not have school on Friday (Diocesan In-Service) or Monday (President’s Day.) Enjoy the four day weekend!

Here is what we’re studying this week:

Religion: Begin a study of Abram/Abraham and discuss the prefiguring of Christ in the story.

Math: Math Test Thursday 2/16. This week, identify and draw quadrilaterals, solve two dimensional spacial problems, and learn to find an average

Reading/Language Arts: Begin a reading Science unit with an expository text excerpt titled, Magnetism and we will begin diagramming sentences. Reading, Vocabulary and Spelling Test Tuesday 2/21

Science: Science test Wednesday 2/15. Review weathering and erosion, how caves are formed, and glaciers and glacial movement. Begin a unit on the human body.

Computer: Complete research for newspaper article.

Library: Students will be given time to read towards their reading commitment goal.
