4th Grade Book Bag News 2/6/12

Here is what we’re studying this week:

Religion: Study the Story of Noah and how the flood prefigures Baptism and the ark the Church.

Math: Math Test Friday, 2/10. This week, we will continue practicing long division, learn the name of and find the area of polygons, and learn to convert improper fractions to mixed numbers.

Reading/Language Arts/Social Studies: Learn how to use the newspaper and the different types information found in the newspaper, write articles for a 4th grade newspaper by exploring both the print and online versions of the Tennessean for a writing grade, learn to research a topic and cite references, Spelling Test Friday 2/10, Social Studies Quiz on Newspapers Monday 2/13

Science: Science test Tuesday 2/7. Study the difference in weathering and erosion, how caves are formed, and glaciers and glacial movement

Computer: Learn to research topics online and how to cite websites

Library: Conduct research on topic for newspaper article

Music: Mrs. Wise will be teaching music this week.
