Letter from the Principal:
Dear SJV Families:
Happy Catholic Schools Week! I hope you and your children have been enjoying our celebrations this week. Thank you to all who supported the Chili Cook-off with your time, talent, and treasure! It was a successful event because of you!
Please remember the remaining activities we have scheduled for the rest of the week. The PTP is hosting a Catholic goods fair in the library through Friday. Tomorrow we show our faculty and staff our appreciation, and on Friday we celebrate with grandparents by attending Mass and special activities in the school. I hope to see you at our parish events this weekend as well.
Lastly, I wish you a happy Parent Appreciation Day. Please know of my prayers of gratitude for all of you who do so much to support the mission of our school.
God bless,
Jennifer McCormick
NEWS FOR THE WEEK:
CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK IS IN FULL SWING!
We are half way through our celebration of Catholic Schools Week, and everyone is having blast! We started things off with Student Appreciation Day and a visit by Tennessee Titan’s mascot T-Rac! T-Rac visited with all the students, and brought each one a little gift. Check out our website for the pics! Tuesday brought the remembrance of our patron saint – St. John Vianney. The students came to know about our patron’s commitment to his faith – truly inspiring! Today is Parent Appreciation Day! Thank you for all you do – your commitment and support of our students and school is truly appreciated!
But the week isn’t over yet….We will show our gifted teachers how much they are appreciated on Thursday, then wind up the school week with visits from our students’ grandparents! The students love to show off their school to their family. Our week will end with Parish Appreciation Weekend. Students will be reading and bringing up gifts during the 4:30 pm, 8:00 am, and 10:30 am Masses this weekend. The students’ presence at Mass in uniform is just one way to show the parishioners how much we appreciate all they do for our school. Don’t forget…any student attending Mass at SJV this weekend in their Mass uniform needs to see Mrs.McCormickafter Mass…you will receive an “out-of-uniform” pass!
